I have desperately been trying to bf my 3 week old baby. At first we were using syringes and tubes. Last week I finally got her to latch but she feeds for hours and I'm not sure how much she's getting. Until last night we were still syringe feeding through the night to ensure she got enough to eat and to get some sleep ourselves. The tubes started giving her gas so last night we introduced a bottle for the first time. I am sticking to my routine of breastfeeding during the day and now bottle feeding at night. This morning I breastfed her for almost two hours. She had a pretty good latch and sucked on and off the whole time. She still seemed hungry so I gave her the bottle and she drank for ounces! Is she getting anything from me? I can hear her swallowing... I am so confused and desperate. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
