Do you agree with me?

Question

The main question I'm asking is do you agree I shouldn't buy my husband any gifts?.

Now here's the story.

Our anniversary is also on Christmas Day. In Christmas Day 2014 I gave my husband $6000 worth of gold jewellery. He had hinted a few times he wanted the chunky gold necklace and bracelet so I got him both. A few months on we had a argument and he threw the jewellery into a fucking lake! Never to be seen again!!!!!!!

So after that incident I never brought him anything ever again. His birthdays, Christmas nothing I refuse to. His sister thinks I'm being harsh but I do not.

I don't expect gifts from him either if he gets me one then cool, if not it doesn't bother me.

I wouldn't be getting him anything for a long time after that. And if I did it would never be anything that expensive again. But I don't know that I could say never again. But he wouldn't be getting anything worth more than 20$ until he can prove to me he's not a child who throws tempertantrums.
