Trying immediately after D&C, before period..

Ok looking for some sound advice from anyone who's done this. I had a D&C almost a week ago for a missed miscarriage. We are absolutely ready to try for our rainbow baby right away.. My question is this: I have heard of girls trying and getting pregnant right away before they have their first period.. But I have also heard you should wait for that first period. Is there really a higher risk for another miscarriage if you get pregnant right away? Or is that just something they tell you to do so they can have a lmp date for your new pregnancy? It's just so tempting to try as soon as ovulation starts.. Any advice is appreciated!🌈
