Does it harm my baby?

Does it do any harm to my baby if I really want to cry so badly but I just hold it in so that no one will find out how I actually feel?

Answer

An occasional breakdown is absolutely fine. Women and docs worry when mom is actually experiencing depression or panic attacks because of the hormonal surges and how mentally and emotionally taxing it is on mom and baby. If you feel like you're struggling with persistent sadness and/or worrying, pllllease talk to your doctor ASAP about it. It's simply a chemical imbalance that should be addressed. Because it's not your fault or in your control, and you don't deserve it.

I actually think it may be more unhealthy if u hold it in, all us mommy's get sad or upset or angry for no reason and sometimes it's for a very good reason, but if u bottle it up you can actually cause yourself to have a mental breakdown which can do more harm, so letting iy out is completely ok (I work in mental healthcare)
