Buying things?

When is it ok to start buying stuff? I haven't brought a thing but my partners mum doesn't live around and us and comes down occasionally I'm 19 weeks and she has purchased the baby nursery funiture. It's being delivered this week I'm scared and worried it's too early :(..

So far I've just started stocking up on diapers and wipes, I'm trying to hold off on buying things till after the baby shower

I bought a few things. Mainly some clothing like onesies and such and socks and stuff like that but I also decided to buy my pram early as I found it on sale for a really good price so figured: why not.

Got the bassinet and fil will make us a chest of drawers / changing table. We got a car capsule coming from sil and are being given a cot by a friend. Only big ticket item I will invest in is cloth nappies but I might wait a while still.

I've been working on my handmade nappy bag and am making some receiving blankets from towels I'm buying on sale.

I'm 20 weeks I've bought small things will be purchasing bigger things like furniture next month I'll be 6 months don't want to wait to the last minute

It's totally ok to buy something or start planning/budgeting/price comparing and looking for sales or Mom to Mom sales. ;) If you are going to have a shower, you might end up with doubled items but you could always take the doubles back.

I have been buying since we found out the gender. I've got quite a bit of clothing, we purchased his car seat and base travel system, a swing and some baby wash. I have a car seat canopy also. We haven't purchased much more yet. We have a lot from our previous kids.
