Kick counts ?

I'll be 28 weeks in 2 days my dr told me a kick count every hour I don't feel them all the time due to were my placenta is and she told me if I don't feel them then to go to L&D to get check I'll feel then off and on so dose that mean if I don't feel them for a few hours to go get check I am very confused

I just do it once a day - no way do I have time to count kicks all day long!

I actually don't do it for a full hour, just time how long it takes to get to 10. I feel her a lot and chose a time when she's active so it takes about 15 minutes for me.

I think the thing to watch out for is a decrease in activity from your baby's normal activity level because it can indicate distress.

I don't even count the kicks. As long as my little dude is doing his routine Pilates in there then I'm reassured he's okay!

Babies usually stay awake for only 30 mins at a time. So it could be hard to count kicks.

I've heard you CHOOSE one hour when you know your baby is most active normally and you have time to sit and count. You can't be counting them all day long! Lol plus I'm sure you move around and stuff and of course you're not going to feel them! Choose 1 hour or two sessions of 1 hour every day and do that. Pretty sure that's what they meant not that you should be feeling 10 kicks every hour of the day.

My dr hasn't said to kick count. When I'm busy I don't feel him all day sometimes until I sit down in the evening. Then he feels like he's kicking up a storm for like 20 minutes.

Thank you there days when I do a kick count and I only get to 9  and there days were I don't always feel them I have a Doppler I do put on so I can check on them this is giving me anxiety

They say at least 10 or a little less every 4 hours

Kick counts should only be once a day if you feel you need to do them. My doctor says 10 kicks in 2 hours. But that's only if I'm worried and haven't felt her for a while.

Yeah I heard to do it over 2 hours because baby can be inactive for an hour which is fine. Doctor said 10 kicks in 2 hours or an average of 5 kicks an hour

Every baby is different I wouldn't go to L&D UNLESS the movement has decreased from the usual. With my son I cried all the time because he never moved much during the day and would at night. This pregnancy I have a girl I'm 28 weeks as of today, she kicks a lot always moving. If you are really worried and can't count ten within an hour then go but I'd say if you know baby kicks so much throughout the day go off that and if it has decreased then start getting worried
