When will you start shopping for baby?

I'm 32 weeks and haven't bought ONE thing. I'm having two baby showers, one this weekend and one on Feb 13, so I am waiting for that to just buy whatever people didn't get me off my registry

I bought a onesie recently before even getting pregnant 😂. But I was also considering making baby patterns for the future and I needed a size reference. It's a 3-6mo gray onesie that says "luck of the Irish" or "kiss me I'm Irish" I forget which.

I may buy little things, but I think I'll save purchasing much until after I have a shower once I'm pregnant I think I might have multiple showers since as soon as we were married everyone's been excited about when we'll have a kid. First grandchild on both sides and first GREAT grandchild on many sides. Our grandparents have been more like our parents in our lives so that's what we're excited for with reactions and such. But our families are big gift givers, so I don't want to buy anything and have to end up returning it later haha.

After first trimester I'll start buying general items like diapers etc. then one I know the gender I'll get more specific things.

I started shopping after my dating scan. We aren't finding out the gender, so I couldn't wait for that 😉

Define shopping? I have already started a diaper stash at 8wks. But clothing and nursery stuff probably after I find out. Except for a swing. I know what swing I want. lol.

I haven't been shopping just yet with the exception of the travel system, luckily were getting the crib and bassinet for free. If we find a cute outfit I'm not opposed to buying anything, my fiancé ESPECIALLY wants to buy something for "his boy". But for anything else I'm waiting until after the baby shower.
