Any other moms worried??

I live in Texas and the Zika Virus is scaring me! It's spreading quickly through South America and Mexico. Any other expecting moms worried about this? Especially being pregnant through summer?

Deet in bug spray isn't good for you while pregnant either but seems to be a safe risk to take in comparison! Here's to all of us summer pregnancies layering up in the heat of summer! 👍🏼

Yes very scary I'm in New York with 10 confirmed cases in my area/region. I'll be hoarding myself inside all summer.

I am SOOOOO SCARED. I live in Forida and it's already in the Caribbean. I'm only taking solace in the fact that it's still really cold and no mosquitoes here yet while my baby's developing this first trimester. BUT they'll be here soon enough. PLUS Im the one that always gets bit up by mosquitoes in warm weather. They love me for some reason. I'm just going to stay inside/behind screens for the most part when it gets warmer and probably buy stock in mosquito repellant companies (lol 😒).

I was just in the Dominican for a week, I came back and hear all over the news about the virus. I was very upset that we didn't get a warning from our travel agent. I did have a couple of small itchy bites while I was there but I thought and hope that it was just sand fleas because I never got the welt like a mosquito bite and the itching stopped by the next day. I see my OB on Monday, hopefully she will run some tests then for my peace of mind. So scary!

I'm in also in Texas. Right on the gulf and Louisiana border so swamps everywhere. I'm trying not to freak out. We always have warm winters but this one has been extremely warm. We are building on our property that has a lake and the creek that connects to the  Bayou and I'm freaking out a bit. My oldest is 13 and the year I was pregnant with him west Nile was the big thing. My Mawmaw use to joke that I had sugar in my blood because I was always getting bit. I've been trying to research the safest spray

I'm freaking out. I live in Miami and we get a lot of people flying in from South America all the time. I bought that Off clip fan and am constantly spraying myself down with off. I feel your pain!

I'm in Houston and scared because there was a mosquito in my house today and freaked.  I live in the country and am always outside now I'm scared to be inside too.

I am nervous but I trying make myself aware and not scared. I live in Ohio so we won't see too many mosquitos until late May, early June... Prayerfully! We've had a pretty mild winter except for several cold snaps. By late May/early June I will be well into my second trimester. However, I do want to still take precautions especially cause they don't know how it may affect women in second and third trimesters. And if those types of mosquitos reach this far north I want to be ready with repelant and so on.

Use skin so soft from Avon, it keeps bugs away for the most part, makes your skin soft, and isn't bad for baby.

I love in Texas too. I'm not too worried mosquitos don't like me. I would say just stay away from places with big puddles of sitting water where they breed.
