Ok so if you use a tampon how to you put it in I can't even put the tampon in

For me - I know this is tmi - but I get in the shower, put one leg up on the ledge/wall, and insert it that way. I can't get it in all the way when I'm on the toilet. But certain tampons are just longer and thicker. I've found a brand that works for me. Just remember that every tampon has a string, so there's VERY little chance that it's gonna go too far or you won't be able to get it out. Also, just relax. Take your time. Read the instructions on the box. You'll get the hang of it. But if it's too difficult or uncomfortable, pads works just fine. Then there's the diva cup. I've never tried it but I hear good things about it. 
Are you heavy? I am too and I can usually do regular tampons and just change them more. For some reason tampons just feel really uncomfortable sometimes and I've been trying to use them for 8 years now. For the past couple of years though I've found it a lot easier and less painful. The shower position and the brand I use seems to work well for me!!

I have only ever used pads. I use liners towards the end just to protect my pants especially if they're nice ones.

Sounds weird but if you lick it before you stick it it'll go in a lot easier :) lick it or run it under water for a quick sec. When I first started my period it was one 4th of July and I was 15. I didn't want to do the pads cause they make me feel gross down there. But I'll tell you the best thing to do and that's to use a tampon and a pantie liner :) that way if you go to bed and over bleed the liner will catch it. Liners are a awesome back up plan :)

The simplest way to learn how to do it my first time was reading the instructions that come in every box. Also if you keep yourself calm, your body calm and relaxed its easier. If you are too tense down there you r body will try to reject the insertion.

I pull my pants all the way down to my ankles and spread my legs! Lol, I have thick thighs so its easier for me that way!

The first time I ever put a tampon in I did it the wrong way where only half went in and it was sticking out and super uncomfortable. I thought it was supposed to be like that until I went swimming and it blew up 20x the size. Definitely felt that. Just a quick little embarrassing story.
