Timing - before or after ovulation?

Question

What times are others using for insemination? We are no help as we just inseminated heaps, before and after when it worked to make our previous children. Please mention of you are using fresh or frozen.

Hi Maria! My wife and I will inseminate for the first time tomorrow at home. I began taking PregPrep (a fertility supplement - natural mualitic to help thin CM) a couple days ago. It suggest 5 days prior to ovulation and two days after. We have syringes and soft cups and will be using fresh sperm. Again, this is our first time so we're going off lots of research and friends experiences. I'm not taking any fertility drugs and have not undergone and treatments. I have prepped myself as much as possible as far as a healthy balanced diet, lots of exercise and some weight loss, water, no caffeine or alcohol, a positive mind, body and soul and of course my prenatals for the past few months. My peak is Tuesday. We will inseminate Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this round. My ovulation bumped up a day due to a short periods this month.

Frozen sperm lives about 24hrs,and fresh live about 72hrs but can live up to one week. So it's really hard to use frozen sperm unless you know exactly when your ovlation is. The test stripes can tell you high fertility but you still don't ovulate for 24-32hrs after

I'm doing IUI's with frozen sperm and I think they want to get within eight hours of ovulation because the frozen sperm doesn't live as long.

You have it completely covered! Sounds terrific. Good luck. We are using frozen which is pricing per half ml, and might not live as long, so was hoping to narrow down the window. This is probably not possible. Daily sounds great.
