Long shot: Tiny Home People?

Question

I know it's a long shot finding people on here that raise children in tiny or small homes, but I wanted nursery ideas for small spaces.

My husband and I are closing very soon on a 512 sf open cabin/studio. Obviously with no seperate room or space for the baby I'm going to have to get creative. We plan to add on to the house later, but we will all live together in one space for a while.

Does anyone have a little corner or nook to share? Some ideas?

I love tiny houses!  I always see them on the internet and I think they're awesome!  As far as space goes, I suppose a little bassinet would work better than a crib, and some of them have built in shelves/drawers on the bottom for diaper supplies and baby stuff. I'd suggest getting a bed for you that has roll out drawers underneath for additional storage. For me, it would be about multifunctional furniture that doubles as storage. The baby honestly doesn't need much furniture besides somewhere to sleep and a place to hold their clothes and diapers --at least not for a while.

I'm not a tiny house person but maybe consider one of those co-sleepers that has hard sides like a bassinet but fits in the bed with you. Also consider things like floating or corner shelves for extra storage, and you can do little bits of decorating like hanging a mobile over where baby sleeps so it's still a nursery area without being a whole house full of baby decor.

We live in a tiny cabin! Our baby will stay on a bassinet (prob the smaller pack n play?) next to our bed for a little while. This will take up literally the last available space in bedroom. In our other room there will be a crib and changing table. We are putting our couch in storage to make room for crib and getting two recliners so it's easier to move stuff around. Baby will nap in crib and eventually sleep there too. Crib shares a room with my office and our fridge. Haha. We will decorate the wall crib is on as baby's wall. We have lots of shelves and cubbies for storage. Still haven't figured out exactly where baby stuff in kitchen will go yet (bottles etc). More shelves! :)

I live in a small one bedroom apartment. I only have a little corner in my bedroom for baby , she will have a bassinet and her name hung on the wall. And my closet space is plentiful for us both.

Pinterest! Hubby and I travel part of the year for his job in an RV and I've gotten great ideas on integrating baby in small spaces when we are away from home.
