Will you treat your kids different

Question

Will you treat you son differently than you treat your daughter? In other words will you be strict towards your daughter and not strict towards your son. Will your son get to have girls over and do whatever he wants because he's a boy. I seen parents treat their son and daughter totally different so I just would like to know you all perspective on this topic.

They'll have the same rules and same standards, but boys and girls are different and they're different people. What works for one may not for the other.

My husband and I agreed to be completely gender neutral with our children. Gender neutral names etc. They will be free to like whatever they want to like. Of course there's going to be rules, but they will be the same rules for both of them. No double standards based on gender.

No because my parents did this and drove me crazy, I was the baby girl so I never got to do anything. I wasn't even allowed to go on bike rides when I was 13 and my brother was all over the town at that age. He's four years older but it drove me crazy.

Nope my husband and I are pretty strict no one gets a pass bc of gender in our house

I know this probably isn't what you are asking but in my opinion you have to treat every child differently because they need different things from you and have their own personalities. It has nothing to do with gender.
