Preterm labor?

How do i know if im going through preterm labor? Im 30 weeks 2 days. im a first time mom so i dont know what to look for

If you think for any reason you could possibly be going into preterm labor, call your doctor or go to L&D. I had my 24wk check up on Monday Dec. 14. Tuesday, Dec. 15 I found blood at noon. I called, they asked if the bleeding had stopped and if I was in any pain. There wasn't more bleeding and I was having, what I'd explain it as, period cramps. At 3pm the "cramping" got worse. At 4pm I started a log with the time of the pain and how long it was lasting in case it was just braxton hicks. At 5pm I had well over 8 of these "pains". It was my first time as well so I wasn't sure exactly. I called, they told me to get to L&D immediately to be looked at. I got to L&D at 7pm and had my son at 10:27pm. He was only 23+3. He was flown out and stayed with us for 11 short days. We miss him more than anything. Point of my story, call your doctor if you aren't sure and something doesn't seem right.

Im 30.2 weeks to and having contractions I hope our babys stay in and I have a history of preterm labor

For me it was contractions going on all day that wouldn't let up and became stronger and closer together.

I honestly didn't know till I brought up my heavy discharge to doctor, he then checked when I was 29+4 and I've been on medicine and bed rest since. They did a test, and it came back positive saying I'm more likely to go into preterm labor in the next few weeks! If your concerned you should definitely bring up to your doctor!(:
