boyfriend has already had sex

so my boyfriend isn't a virgin and I am. and he's been honest with me about it and I feel bad because I can't help but getting upset every time I think about it because he's already given up that to someone and I'm going to give mine to him. is it normal to be upset to the point of tears over this??
