Any advice for the newly pregnant?

Hi ladies! I'm almost 4 weeks pregnant and I'm experiencing heavy cramping with no bleeding. I'm just having lots of lower abdominal and back pressure and sometimes a sharp or shooting pain. Most of the time the cramps feel like impending period cramps but I have been getting ever-darkening pregnancy tests over the last few days. If anyone could offer any insight or success stories, it'd so put my mind at ease. Thanks so much!

I had bad cramps from 4 to around 8 weeks and it's normal, you need to drink a lot of water!

When I was 4-6 weeks I honestly thought I was dying! The pain I had from the cramps were unbearable! For the most part it would feel like impending period cramps and then at night I would be in excruciating pain, sweating and crying on the bathroom floor. No bleeding but of course I didn't think this could be a successful pregnancy with cramps and pain like that. Went to ER all theybdidneasna urine test that came back positive, the following week went for bloods and my hcg doubled over a two day period, a couple days later went in for a transvaginal ultrasound and saw the little sac, I'm now 11w3d no pain! Try not to worry, I read a lot online that it could be the uterus stretching and possibly even constipation or bowel cramps, of course I didn't believe them and was convinced my period was going to show up any minute but nope it was all good! Dr said as kin as there is no blood then it perfectly normal!

I'm about where you are and I'm getting mild cramps. It really feels just like AF is coming which is making me paranoid!

It's normal Hun. As long as you don't bleed you're fine. It will get better. It eases later. I had it too

Drinking red raspberry leaf tea is extremely healthy during all trimesters of pregnancy and beyond. It contains the nutrients that your uterus needs. Many women report reduced or eliminated cramping during their menstrual cycle when they drink this tea daily, so I would imagine it would do the same for pregnancy cramps. My midwife has me drinking a mix of red raspberry leaf, oatstraw, alfalfa, and dandelion.

Cramping is normal. It's just your body's way of preparing itself for pregnancy. Google it. I'm 12 weeks with baby number 5. Your good don't worry unless there's blood

I didn't have any cramping, but you can take Tylenol to help & do a heating back on your back. Try stretching your lower back by getting in the fetal position.

Also stay hydrated! Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day! Proper hydration can help decrease muscle cramping
