Confused about wic?

I'm in this pregnancy group in my town and they were telling me I should go get wic for my son. I'm 6 months and I was thinking about it but wondering how exactly that works. Wouldn't we make to much ? My husband is a E4 and they said they only go off the Bas pay. Anyone else have it and how hard was it to get it.

My hubby is also E-4 and we have no kids (currently pregnant with our first) and we qualified. All I had to do was go to the wic office and talk to a dietician which was actually really helpful, since it's my first pregnancy. Totally worth it, got free eggs, milk, veggies, etc.

I always qualified when we had only two kids and my husband is a E-5 and I wasn't working. When I started working They took us off because we made to much three months later  I became pregnant with number 3 and started school full time We qualified again and he is still a E-5.

A lot of bases have wic offices on them somewhere. Call around. We qualified with 3 kids and my husband being an e-4. It all depends on your living arrangements (on or off base) and the cost of living in the area. The only way to know is Google your local wic office income guidelines or make an appointment to apply.

If you are being seen on post, you could ask your prenatal provider to push you in the right direction. When we went to our 12 week appointment, they went over all of that kind of information with us.
