Mexico, Zika Virus, should I be worried?

I went to Mexico in May of last yeah right before we got pregnant. I had no symptoms after returning home and my anatomy scan said the baby was growing normally. Should I still be concerned since I was in an affected area? Has anyone else talked to their doctors yet about this?

The virus has only been shown to affect 1 in every 500 babies. I think that having not traveled since being pregnant you should be ok.

I wouldn't worry about it at all. It wasn't happening at that time. I was on the Bahamas when I conceived my baby in late July. Especially if you've had the anatomy scan and they said everything was good then. Don't let fear take over 😘

I'm in the same boat as you. I went to Jamaica in September. I told my doctor and she said everything is measuring fine and there was no need to escalate. However, I'm still freaking out. I'm going to the doctor's again and see what else is suggested. I think we are ok, considering it wasn't there when we went.
