Inducing time?!!? What to do!

Just left my doctors office and I'm 38wks , (39 on Friday ). He pretty much told me if by next week on Tuesdays next appointment baby is not here yet, he'll induce me! Or at least we'll talk about it .. Not sure how to feel.. I'm feeling scared, happy, anxious.. I was really hoping she'll come on her own.. I'm not dilating , just soft cervix.. Ughhh so much to think about!!! Is it safe? Will she be fine? Idk! This is my 3rd baby and its new to me to get induced.. Any feedback mommas?
