Past period question? I am scared that this will happen again. 😖

3 weeks ago, I had my period. It attacked me during the night. But, when I went to the bathroom, I was extremely heavy and TMI ( I bled almost all over the floor. It was literally dripping down my leg. I used baby wipes to clean up but it took nearly 6- 7 of them.) Is it normal to be fairly heavy on your first day? I'm usually not that heavy on the first day, most of the time I am heavy on the 3rd. 😁
