Cats Detect Hormones??

Question

My cat is always a cuddle bug but usually steers clear of my chest and tummy. But I'm in my 2ww and he has been huddled around my tummy and holding it and rubbing it with his head. He is protective of me every day but it's gotten so particular. Any thoughts??

My cat loves sleeping right up by my pelvic when I start my period and have my "omg I'm dying" cramps. His body heat helps calm them down and pretty sure he knows it.

That's really cute! I have a big black cat too. I feel like they probably can. I've heard they can sense when their owners are sick or dying. So I don't see why they couldn't sense hormones. I'll be curious to see if this is true when I'm pregnant. My cat is 19 pounds and walks all over my stomach. I'm hoping he won't do that when there is a baby in there ?

I'm in my 2ww too and my cat is a demon cat seriously, she'll not let you near her or touch her or anything and if you try she will slap you. 
​But today she came over to me and let me pet her, she was purring and gentle. It was so weird. I'm trying not to let myself think anything obvious in case it's just a fluke but at the back of my mind I'm a little bit curious...

My cats wernt really any different to me before I found out I was pregnant and still arnt now either. Woth my dd I had a dog at the time and he was ever so protective of my bump and would lay for hours with his head on bump

My cat always slept on my chest/stomach and when I was expecting, she only got closer. If I lied on my side then she would nuzzle into my tummy area.
​She stopped actually being on top of my tummy at about 20 weeks when my baby kicked her off. Then she stayed next to me at my side for the duration. Then she would cuddle my little girl.

She's a Bengal mix.

I believe it can Happen.  My dog wouldn't leave my side last time i was pregnant.
