Abnormal shaped sperm heads!?!

So I called my doctor today to get my husbands test results. The lady on the phone said the doctor has scheduled to call me Monday but that she could tell me the result. She just went straight into dropping a bomb on me I was not ready for. 98% of my hubby's sperm has abnormally shaped heads. Then proceeded to give me recommended fertility doctors to research before I talk to my doctor on Monday. She was just reciting it like it was news she gave out everyday!  I was mortified! How do I tell my husband this who wants a child more than anything? How will I afford this? Is it really that bad since she seems so calm about this like its a normal thing to chat about?!? This is going to be a long weekend waiting on the doctors call for Monday.  Any words of encouragement?

My hubby's 1st test was 2%. He didn't drink for two weeks and did everything right, and the next test came back 0%. We decided to wait on the specialist while hubby started some vitamins. I made the appointment with the specialist, and wouldn't you know, that morning my doctors office confirmed my pregnancy, so we had to cancel.

So yes, there's hope!

What ended up happening? We got my husbands results back and he had 99% sperm head defects. We have an appointment this Friday with a fertility urologist to go over results and our options.

Hey Becky!! I know it's kinda hard blow for not being able to TTC naturally. But dear it doesn't mean u cannot concieve at all. Science is far more advanced and am sure u'll get all the help out there. The lady over ph might have sounded casual coz she might have seen lot of cases like this and just doing her job without empathy.Becky first tell ur husband the news and try researching on urologists and reproductive endocrinologists. Am sure Hun u'll get the help u need. Stay positive!!

My husband has 1% morphology (good shaped sperm) ... So a percent worse. We have been TTC for 18 months now. It's not easy. We avoided IUI and IVF and just did our second IUI with injectables yesterday. Next cycle IVF.

We had a chemical after 1 year TTC. 
The research for low morphology is super contradicting. Some RE (like mine initially) said we could get pregnant naturally but it may take longer. Then after 4 monitored rounds of femara he recommended 1 IUI and then IVF. We did two IUI for good measure.

Get him on vitamins to help with count and mobility which will help make that 2% go farther. CoQ10 (400mg), vit d, vit c, multivitamin, zinc, maca. His count tripled after 3 months. Not sure what his morph looks like now because they don't measure the sample for that.

Baby dust! This is not easy.

My husband had:
Count: 6 mil/ml
Motility: 8%
Morphology: 3%
Have him see a Urologist. They prescribed him Clomid and also discovered a Vericocele. He just had the surgery but apparently we conceived a couple weeks before that and just found out we are 5 weeks, 4 days pregnant! 
He also took a One A Day Vit, Zinc, and Vit C in addition to the daily Clomid. He also stopped smoking, cut back on drinking alcohol, smoking weed and caffeine. 
Dr also recommended we have sex every 3 days in the fertile window and it worked twice for us (I had a MC first time).

My DH had a 1.5% morphology rate and abnormal shaped heads also. We are trying vitamins and a healthier lifestyle. I have been worked up and all my test are normal. It sucks to know it's all on him and there is nothing you can do besides vitamins and being supportive 😕 we have been having unprotected sex for 4 years with no accidents. Actually trying hard for the past year😫. Don't loose faith.
