GRRR!!!

Last week, my Dr told me to go to the lab in their building to have my book drawn for the Verifi test at 10 wks. She said to check with them before they draw the blood and they will be able to look and see if my insurance will cover it.

So, fast ford to today, I am 10 wks 1 day...

I pack up my 4 yr old, and drove 40 minutes to go to the lab, I wait 15 minutes for them to call me, and I go back and ask the girl. She says "Nope, we don't do that, your Dr was wrong." She doesn't attempt to call my Dr, or offer and help at all. I said, "well, that was a wasted trip." And all she said was "Yep, sorry."

So, I will not be getting the test my Dr wanted me to get. If my baby is born with Down Syndrome, or any of the others this test covers, I will love him or her just as much. She wanted me to get the test because I am 40, and apparently my chances are higher. Oh well... I was excited to find out the sex early though. That's a bummer.
