Craving sex and didn't get to finish

I've been craving sex for about a week and our libidos are very high but were so busy and tired I just have waited and this morning I stopped to reposition and he finished. I'm to the breaking point of crying I needed this. But now he feels it's his fault and is upset and idk what to do. Not to sound bad but in all my experience I've never had a time I didn't get there and care this much, usually I'm still very satisfied even with out the happy ending. Never have felt this emotional about it ... What do I do? How can I make him understand. Also I'm the week before my period.. Hello emotions.
