New or used?

I am a first time mom and I am curious as to if I should be looking at a used set (matching crib, changing table, dresser) or if it is worth it to buy new? The cost savings would obviously be in the hundreds, but if safety and durability is an issue with buying gently used then I'm willing to pay the price. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Go for used! Just check the safety reviews on the crib if it's more than a few years old.

I bought anything that they'd outgrow used. So stuff like a crib, glider, pack n play etc. stuff they'll use for longer like a dresser and stuff I bought new.

To be honest it will be up to you. I am currently 32 weeks and I just started checking out garage sale sites in my area through Facebook. I found a lot of used but  new like items for a fraction of the price. Don't get me wrong I have bought a few items new but 90% are used.

I bought a crib at a yard sale. It's one of those convertible cribs and we're still using it as a toddler bed. My daughter is now 3.
