C-section moms. Is it as scary as i am imagining?

Question

This is my first pregnancy and its looking very much like it will be a c-section birth. This terrifies me. 
I'm looking for some reassurance that it's not going to be the worst experience of my life and put me off of having more children. 
Any words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated. Too many tears today over this fear and I still have so far to go.

I had an emergency c-section and it was very easy and simple. You feel pressure no pain, of course I was freaking out because I didn't expect to have one but I was just overreacting, it really was quick simple and he baby was out in no time. The recovery was no big deal either I just had some manageable pain they gave me Percocet but it made me loopy so I didn't take it anymore. They took out the staples after some time which was strangely painless and the stitches melt/dissolve on their own so I didn't have them removed, I just took my time to slowly heal.

I've had two c sections now. First one was after laboring for 3 days and the Drs trying to stop my contractions. She was breach so it was going to be a c section. Second was a planned section. Second recovery was great. Up walking the same day. First c section not as good. Took for a couple of weeks before I get comfortable leaving the house and walking around  I've been told the difference is that recovering from labor and the section is quite a big deal. The actual section was no big deal for either case. It seems scary, but try to relax and let the nurses help you. Best of luck.

I've only had an emergency C after two days of labor so I'm not sure about recovery from a planned one. I've been researching and chatting online about recovery from planned vs emergency and most say the recovery from the planned one was way easier. My recovery from my emergency one was difficult but not terrible. First couple days were sore but then I was back to walking, showering, etc after a few days. By 10 days I felt like myself again but still had to take it easy for several more weeks. You can't even see my scar it is so tiny. It'll look BIG at first because your stomach is bigger at that time. As skin skinks back so does the scar. I've had zero complications since my CS almost three years ago. Don't be scared. If it's what is best for your baby then that's what matters. You'll likely be empowered by just how strong you can be once you become a momma.

I have had three (none were my choice) and this pregnancy makes fourth and final. Just relax and breath. Don't think about how it feels. You'll be fine. You will feel numb from about your underarms down to your toes. You know how it feels when you have a leg or arm fall asleep on you and you touch it to try to wake it up. That's the way them doing things feels. Plus when they pull the baby out there is a dull pressure because they do push behind the baby as they guide them out. With my boys I freaked out and they gave me something to make me sleep. But with my girl I was fully awake while time. And with my girl I even chatted with the team and at one point told hem I thought I'd take a nap because I'd been up so early for it and knew I could use one before I went into no more naps days. The team giggles and said it was cool. I remember it was easy otherwise. I recommend trying to move your limbs when you go to recovery as soon as possible because then it is sooner they get catheter out and you up and walking. I also recommend having a small travel pillow. (Miniature version of what you sleep with) you will need it to cough and such, hold it to your surgery site. It makes a huge difference. Good lol Hun. Don't be scared. I was 15 when I had my c-section it's painful but you'll get through it I did! I was up & doing things within a week. I was terrified when they told me I needed an emergency c section but with my family's support I got through it & I now have a 2 1/2 year old baby boy ❤️ you'll be okay!! Good luck!!
