Pooing blood?

21weeks 5days pregnant and pooing blood all day? I woke up this morning went to the bathroom went poo and looked down it looked like my period I started freaking wiped realized it wasn't from my vag so I didn't worry much , so I went to the bathroom again and the same thing bloody poo,  then just now again , I have slight back pains and slight cramps in the front but that could be growing .. but is this normal ? Should I go to the er?! First time mom here.

UPDATE: went to the ER, ended up in labour and delivery . Baby is fine and its internal hemerroids caused by the pregnancy and that's causing the bleeding - it IS common , and to use stool softeners and to eat more fiber .

It's not okay to ever have blood in your poop. Yes you need to go to the ER. It might just be a hemorrhoid but you still need to go. Pregnant or not, it's not okay to have blood in your poop.

It's very common to develop hemmoroids (sp?) during pregnancy. These can sometimes bleed when you use the restroom. Is it possible that this is what's happening with you? It's not that serious..as I said before, it's common to develop these during pregnancy.

However, if you're really worried, definitely check with your doctor. Definitely better to be safe than sorry.

What color is the blood? If it's bright red, you are probably dealing with internal hemmoroids. If darker or black, then it could be more serious as its blood from the stomach or intestines. Other symptoms are itching around your bum and pain when going. I still would call the doctor ASAP.

If you did that this morning then why are you on here asking if you should go to the er. It's not normal EVER to have blood in your stool specially not that much. You should have went to the er this morning
