How do you feel about your baby/pregnancy not being considered an actual person until after birth?

I want to know how you feel about laws considering your baby not a human until after it takes their first breath? I just don't understand it?!? As soon as I became pregnant I consider my baby a person. In the news it's a whole different ball game. Any opinions?

In most US hospitals your baby isn't even considered a viable fetus until 24 weeks gestation. It's all medical statistics and is basically based on survival rates if you were to go into labor. It sucks, but I consider my baby a baby, a person, a life, from the moment that tiny heart starts beating.

There is a personal attachment to the a baby, and what is a legal baby. It's just different. Your first ultrasound is just a sack of cells and even though you have a personal attachment to it, it is not a human yet.

The laws have to be that way or else people who have no right to will start trying to controlp regnant women. The pregnant women can believe what she wants and choose to do whatever she wants but no one else should have to force her to do anything jus because she is pregnant at the moment.

If anything, being pregnant has only reaffirmed my belief that an embryo or fetus is part of MY body. Yes, I consider him a baby, but not all women believe that. Women should have the right to do what they choose with their own body, ESPECIALLY before a fetus is viable (24 weeks). Before that, it really is just a bunch of cells depend on you and your body. Nobody has the right to make decisions for my body other than me.
