I think it's terribly tacky. I would never have a shower for a second child nor would I attend one.

I think it's tacky. I would be so embarrassed to have one and I'd be annoyed if someone invited me. If you want to celebrate the baby fine but wait till it's here and throw a party ( with NO gifts)

It's becoming way more acceptable to have multiple baby showers than it used to be. My son is almost seven and we're having a girl in two weeks so we're having a second shower.

I don't think it's rude at all no matter the gender. If it is rude then idk what I am bc I have had one for all 4 of my babies.

My cousin has 2 girls 13 months apart and she had a shower for each. The 1st one was a proper shower with tons of gifts. The 2nd was less of a gift giving, and more of a get together to celebrate her having another baby. Of course some gifts were given, but not much since she still had everything from the first baby. Two different genders means you don't have anything for the new baby. New baby can't wear first babies clothes.

I think it's more of a southern thing to have "sprinkles" with subsequent babies.

For me would depend on how long between kiddos. I am having a second shower but my son will be 15 a month after the baby is born. And this is my husbands first and his moms first biological grand baby.  But if it's with in a year or two I think it's kinda tacky.
