With twins, do you have the option to choose vaginal birth or c-section!?

My dr said as long as baby A is head down, we can try for a vaginal delivery, because they can help Baby B turn headdown after baby A has been born, but there is always the chance of cord prolapse or other emergency that would require a C Section, so the delivery will need to take place in the OR.

If baby A is head down u can attempt a vaginal birth. However after baby a is delivered you still run a chance of having to a a c section for baby b because the may turn when they drop. I went for vaginal and it went perfect. Just have to do what you are comfortable with.

My Dr said I can do which ever I lmao comfortable with. I chose csection and the way it.looks I couldn't do vaginal.birth anyways bc both babies are breech and laying sideways

It depends on which way the baby's are positioned at the time of delivery . I wanted to have a vaginal delivery with my twins but twin A was head down and B was breech.. My practice didn't feel comfortable turning twin B if she didn't come head down after A was born. After we discussed that I felt better about a csection and honestly everything went amazing couldn't of had it any other way. Recovery wasn't bad either!

I chose a vaginal birth with my twins. I had three vaginal births with my singles before my twins. A was head down and b was breech. I had an induction scheduled at 38w so that I could attempt the vaginal delivery with breech extraction. I didn't want a c section! My girls were both born vaginally. A was born head down and b was born breech.

I had the choice initially of either a c section or baginal delivery. The things that affected my choice and made a c section necessary were a low lying anterior placenta (it's over part of the cervix),  my age/ history of fertility issues and placement of bubs 1 breech, 1 transverse). I was told that mo/mo twins were often recommended to be a c sect due to risk of umbilical cord entanglement, other twins were dependent on placenta placement and babies position (breech or transverse they would suggest a c section). Also depends on if there have been other complications such as TTTS. Think it also depends on Drs/ hospitals preferences/ policies.
