Question for Smokers?

Question

(Cigarettes) did you smoke while pregnant? And was there any complications with the pregnancy at all? My mother smoked throughout being pregnant with both me and my brother so I thought I'd ask out of curiosity, please don't be offended.

My grandmother smoked for 3 out of 4 of her pregnancies and all 3 were underweight and a bit premature, but survived and are healthy today. The fourth (when she didn't smoke) was her only full term pregnancy with a baby of a healthy weight. However, you wouldn't notice any difference in the health of her children now. I think it's kind of a toss up though, you never really know how the smoking will affect your baby

Smoking affects everyone & every baby differently. Personally, I've always felt like you should be willing to give up a bad habit for your baby's sake, but to each his (or her) own. My cousin smoked weed & cigarettes throughout her pregnancy & the baby was and is healthy. So you should do what you feel is best.
