Sobriety pride anyone? Recovering or not.

Question

It is hard to be labeled as an addict but my husband and I are proudly 28 months clean. I would be 52 months clean but I had a break down around 14 months, then I met my husband and we both got clean together. <3 Anyone else care to share? Rather you've been clean a few days, a few years or forever, share. :) Be proud!

Congrats that's a long and not a easy road. You should be proud of your self and no matter what you are closer to goal and far from your addiction. Congratulations proud of you and I don't even know you.

Congratulations! I've been sober since I found out I was pregnant, so only two months, but that's the longest I've been sober since I was 19 and quite honestly the best thing to happen to me. My drinking had started to get out of control and alcoholism runs in my family.

I severely cut back when starting TTC. Used to drink 5 nights a week and now I have maybe 2 drinks a month (only when I'm on my period or before my fertile window). It doesn't seem like much but alcoholism runs in my family so it was definitely a worry for me that I'd follow down that same path as my mom, but I've realized that I don't enjoy drinking anymore and hate who I am when I'm drunk.

I'm working on 6 months. Everyday is a victory. I met my boyfriend and attended a meeting to support him.  That night I decided I should be there as well. My boyfriend has 9 months and his brother has 2 years. He is also a sponsor. We all live together and continue to add to our sobriety. Congrats to everyone. Every sober day is something to be proud of.
