Induction?

Question

Okay, if you have nothing factual or polite to say then leave. Now, with that being said I want to be induced. (Not because I'm impatient but because I can barely walk.) I can't walk 5 minutes before my whole body gives out. I've gained so much weight it's unbelievable (not only am I small but I'm VERY young.) How do I bring this up to my doctor?

I would just ask your doctor if they would consider inducing you and explain your reasons for wanting to be induced. Together you can discuss the pros and cons and if your doctor doesn't want to induce you discuss with them when they would consider it so you at least know what the timing will look like if you don't go into labor on your own.

I was induced with my 3rd at 37 weeks because I live an hour away from the hospital and very fast labor, and I was 4 cm dialated.  First labor was 4 hrs, 2nd was 2hrs, plus I was group b + . So for me it was nessasary, I don't think they will go for it unless deemed necessary, but ask! Your doctor is there for your and your baby's best intrest, just be up front and ask.

You'd have better luck trying to bring on labor yourself. Use evening primrose oil internally. Depending on how far you are now would change the amount to use. I'm going to start 1-2 caps a night at 34 weeks and build up to 4. If your closer you can just start at the 4. This softens your cervix and with that happening it will move the baby down more causing dialating. Plus it helps your skin stretch do you won't tear as bad using it. 
This is much safer then caster oil, which I would not recommend. Other then that do a search on home ways to start labor. Some dr's maybe more open to doing it sooner then the 39yh week but there is also the hospital policy that they may not be allowed to. I had that happen with my last. So I started the primrose oil and took it into my own hands. Had him at 38+3.

I do know that they cannot induce before 39 weeks, unless there are major issues with your blood pressure and/or baby's heartbeat.   But I would definitely talk to your doctor!

I'm 36 weeks & not dilated any with these same pains. My doctor said he isn't going to induce me until after my due date if baby doesn't come on his own.
