Trying to conceive after miscarriage/ D&C

I had a missed miscarriage of twins and had to have a D&C done august 12th... I just ended my second menstrual cycle following my D&C like asked before ttc again, any ladies have any luck following a D&C or miscarriage on getting pregnant again so quickly?? Any advice. My Dr offered clomid but stated I shouldn't need it as I got pregnant the first time without it and wants me to try for at least 6 months without it before he prescribes it to me. Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated. I feel as though I have no one to talk to about this other then you guys!!
