Miscarriage because of fever?

Question

Hi ladies. Have any of you heard of anyone miscarrying because of a high fever/bad cold?
Has it happened to anyone you know? 
Im reading how a pregnant woman cannot take antibiotics etc etc... but sometimes you just cant lower body temp without some heavy medication...

I had to get a vaccination during my first trimester because of school and I reacted to it with a 102-103 fever for almost 2 days. I was so scared and taking tylenol religiously and tepid showers just to try to keep it below 102, and finally the fever broke. I was 8 or 9 weeks and had a miscarriage the prior pregnancy, but I held off going uninsured to the ER. The next day after sex I started bleeding (which is what happened with the prior pregnancy; sex triggered the missed-miscarried to finally begin, unknown I lost the baby weeks before). Of course after the fever and then the bleeding, I freaked out and went to the ER because I needed either peace of mind or some good drugs to get me through the weekend before I could see my OB. And the results were my high fever for 2 days did not harm my baby. I stayed on pelvic rest as a caution until 12 weeks, and I have a healthy 2 year old right now. And my current pregnancy I conceived while I had pneumonia and the flu, as opposed to when I did miscarry when I was perfectly healthy. Just try to stay hydrated. Get an appointment squeezed in with the OB to get you some reassurance.

Tylenol generally controls fevers. Only some antibiotics aren't safe during pregnancy. There are safe ones.

i know it is an old topic but trying to find aswers. i was about 7 weeks when i got high fever. i am allergic to paracetamol so dr at ER gave me aspirin ?! and took luke warm showers to try to lower temperature. i really don't understand ...felt like it was a bit ignored. After a few days i went to see my gynaecologist (was so weak i hardly could walk) baby had a good heart beat. dr said go home and take aspirin. for 6 days i was unable to reduce my temperature. few days after last visit i went again to the gynaecologist and there was no heart beat. the dr was so surprised! i got angry because i did nothing else but asked for help whilst temp was high. anyone with similar experience? ie miscarried after fever? could this be an immune reaction against the baby? maybe it was an infection but what if not? it has been one year i am trying to find answers....

I've had 4 colds already and been on 2 antibiotics.. And I'm only 12 weeks. With my last virus my fever was 104. I just had to take Tylenol every 4 hours. Baby is still growing fine with a strong heartbeat.

There are antibiotics that pregnant women can take if indicates. Not all illnesses/fevers require them. You can take Tylenol which is safe to help treat a fever.
