8 week abdominal ultrasound?

Hi ladies,
When I am 8W1D I'm getting an ultrasound. They told me to have a full bladder so I'm guessing it will be abdominally done.

Has anyone had an abdominal one done at 8 weeks? Did you see the heartbeat? Can you post the ultrasound photos so I know what to expect?

I had an 8 week abdominal today and we couldn't hear it, but baby was definitely seen! BPM was 175!

I just had my first one today. I'm 9 weeks 3 days. And mine was Trans vaginal.   Yes heartbeat was heard and it was very strong at 177. Baby measures at 9mm. Not sure if this helps but I hope you hear something! It's a beautiful sound.  Congratulations!

I was 6w6d when I went for my first one. It was abdominal and we could see a flicker that was the heartbeat. This was one of the photos that we got.

As long as you have a full bladder I believe they'll be able to hear the heartbeat without a problem. I didn't have one done that early but my friend had a transvaginal ultrasound done at 7 weeks and they saw the heartbeat without a problem, so they'll at least be able to see it if not hear it

Heard & saw the heart beat at 8 wks exactly with an abdominal ultrasound.  170 bpm
