Depressed BF help

So I'm in a newish relationship and my BFs mom just passed away and he says he needs some space and I have been a couple days. And I just message him and tell him I'm here and I love him and if he needs someone to talk to I'm here. But I'm feeling a little lonley it sounds bad but I am. And he usually calls me every night to help me sleep but now he dosnt. What should I do to confort him and maybe try to get him to talk and open up? And how to get him out of the house to at least go for a drive? I've tried but I need some advice😂
