I received a call today from my doctor after having my anatomy scan. Although she assured me that my baby is measuring fine, my placenta and cervix are good, and that there are no abnormalities, she said my baby has a bright spot on his heart. This concerned me because she said this is sometimes associated to down syndrome. Though I have read this is a "soft" risk and small variant, it is still concerning. I opted for all the genetic testing prior because my husband and I decided we would love our baby no matter what, but getting negative news amidst positive news still makes me sad. Has anyone else experienced this?
