Telling family?

I'm 8.5 weeks pregnant, an our parents and grandparent know already. We are going to wait til second timester to announce on social media, but when should we tell the rest of our close family?? It's such a hard secret!

When your ready! We already did a facebook at 7+4. I know people like to tell others to wait but if your comfortable then tell.  I knew that if I lost the baby I would want others to be able to be there and comfort me.  The superstitions behind waiting are so if you lose the baby you can mourn in your own time with out having to repeat over and over. I lost my first baby at 5+3 I had told a few friends, and was glad there shared in my joy and my loss.  I didn't feel alone with it.

I agree with person above. I told at 7w 1d with my first to my close family and a few close friends I mc a few days later but I was so relieved I told them as it was really nice to have support and people to morn with. The second pregnancy I told at 5w3d ish and he's now almost 1. This pregnancy I found out at 7w and we told people at 7w2d.  
It really just depends on you and if your comfortable with morning alone or if you like the support of people around you.
