I don't know the feeling of contractions yet ?? How do they feel I'm 37 weeks ? Been having pain on my sides but don't know

I was having contractions for 4 hours and didn't realize it. I knew I was cramping but my water hadn't broke so I just kinda laid there, thinking it was Braxton hicks again. Yeah... it wasnt. Lol. But I didn't deliver until 6 hours later, and they had to break my water. The way I see it, better safe than sorry. I'd rather have my dr deliver my child than my husband.

They kind of feel like menstrual cramps, but worse. I'm my opinion lol
