he wear a rubber band on his wrist everyday? Do it mean he cuts?

Why don't you just ask him? He could just like to wear them. I use to wear rubber bands just for the fun of it & play with them when I was bored.

I know personally, I've dealt with depression and cutting and the rubber band method worked for me. If I felt the need, I would snap it. But, I would just ask. It won't hurt.

It's quite a common way for people with anxiety to calm down, they snap the band on their wrist when they feel anxiety starting up which distracts the brain and helps not focus on themselves getting worse! But ask him it could be something totally unrelated!
