LH surge?

​this is a dollar tree test I got today and I really it  took just because. I stopped bcp about 2.5 weeks ago. Is this an LH surge? I really wasn't expecting it this week.

I bought 150 of the wondfo tests on amazon. Comes with 20 pregnancy tests as well! It looks like it is a positive. Like said above, PCOS can sometimes cause Faldo positive and that's what I have. I will sometimes get 2-4 positives in a cycle. I do a pretty extensive chart for fun. I measure my basal, CM, take the daily OP strips and I also monitor my saliva under a microscope. Some months I won't ovulate that I can monitor, but I can usually pin point the 12 hours I do with all of those methods!

I've done a little more research about these tests since I have PCOS. Apparently, women with PCOS are more likely to show consistent positive results throughout their cycle making these tests kind of obsolete. Apparently PCOS sufferers have a higher level of LH than other women. So while I also noticed a slight difference in the darkness of my test strips...I never did a base line test when I knew I for sure wasn't ovulating. Bummer for me. I was really excited when the first one I tried was positive. Pretty sure AF is coming tomorrow so I'll have to wait to test this.

@christina this is my first time using an opk at all so I wouldn't know. I actually took it for the sake of it to more or less get a baseline result. Glow said I shouldn't have been ovulating. I was kinda wandering if some lingering hormones from my bcp could fool this test. I'm really floored that I would have ovulated two weeks after stopping bcp. I'm just a lil confused.

I'm wondering myself if these tests are extra sensitive. I have been using them for a few months but usually stop when I get a +. This month I kept testing and got a positive result starting Sat. Evening (the morning test was neg.) and got positives twice a day until yesterday. Hoping we did the dance on the right days and I did finally ovulate. Really hoping for a BFP this month.

@staci thanks I will look into those. I really did not think I would O for the next couple months so I'm not as prepared with opk and hpt as I should be. Off to amazon I go! :-)

I think we got like 20 tests for $12 on amazon. You have to pee in a cup but knowing me and my obsessive qualities we decided to buy bulk :)

@staci it actually did get darker I took the picture a little too early. I only bought 3 tests so I will do again in the morning but after that I will have to buy more.

The instructions for mine said the test line could get darker. They said take the tests for a few days and compare the darkness of the test strip. The day that is the darkest means you will ovulate in 24 to 48 hours. I did that and there was definitely a variance in darkness.

I took a second one positive as well. My hubby was actually wanting to wait til next month to officially start ttc :-P. So he isn't wanting to do anything. BOO! Oh well we DTD on Tuesday so I think I might still have a chance.
