I have recently come out of hospital with suspected viral meningitits I am 7 weeks pregnant now. Doctors did blood tests for the VM but they were ok . They left me 3 days without doing anything and no other tests knowing I was pregnant although i did have a scan but have to go back tuesday to make sure all is still ok with baby. The doctor then told me that VM doesn't always show on blood tests. And they wernt willing to do a lumbar puncture because they kept changing their mind and left me to the end of the week by this time some of my symptoms started to clear however I have been home 3 days and I cannot get out of bed I feel so sick & dizzy and my body muscles ache. I go for a hot bath to help and it's like this makes it worse sometimes. I am finding my self getting in a right state. Does anyone else have these symptoms from pregnancy. Doctor said it could of been VM (as i had nearly all the symptoms) but said it could be pregnancy related. I have 2 children and was never this bad. My partner suggests I go to the doctor but I'm terrified of going back into hospital. As I spent most my days in a room on my own not knowing if I was coming or going.
