When is it over?

Question

How do you know when a relationship isn't worth saving anymore? Has anyone just fallen out of love before?

For me, it took another man (a very close friend) to tell me about my situation. It was like I couldn't see it.  I had been in a long relationship (9 years) and he wasn't stepping up. He would tell me what I wanted to hear (about me being his wife, ring shopping, etc) and eventually I figured that he was all talk. He would be super critical of everything I did, question my ability to be a wife, and I even suspected other women and one even called me. He even moved out of state without an option for me to join or a commitment. While overseas there was an emergency and I needed funds. He had previously promised to give but even once he realized the emergency he never deposited. He was also not communicated like he should have been. I was not a priority. I realize now that I wasn't the one for him. I was just his best option at the time.

But now the friend and I are in a relationship and happier than I've ever been. So live for YOU!

I think if you have to ask the question, you probably already know.

I knew when I felt indifferent to seeing him. I was going through the motions of being in a relationship (6 years) which wasn't fair to him or myself.  It was tough to end the relationship because he was so much a part of my family, but I couldn't stay in it for other people.

Now I'm married to my best friend who challenges me in the best way possible.

I feel so pissed off that it isn't working. We aren't having good sex ( it is awkward now). After almost four years....  Every time I try to talk to him about what is bothering me I feel ignored and he just tells me what I want to hear!!! I am so angry with him!!! JUST MAN UP! Fix this! Fuck me! Like, I just want to make it work but I feel like I have tried everything I could, now it is his turn.... Should I give him like a time limit?
