With obvious things like strangers and crossing the street or being out of sight in a public place, yes. In other situations, not really. They need to learn how to defend themselves in the real world and stick up for themselves. Make mistakes and get hurt, as long as they live and learn.

When it comes to strangers and public safety yes. I get anxious when my husband is gone longer than he says he will be when he has my son with him. I don't completly trust my husband with my sons safety cuz my son was almost run over by a dump truck when my husband was suppose to be watching him outside and instead he was talking on his phone when he was 1 1/2 and I was getting food and I turned around and my son was by the road, no idea how I got like 50ft to him in a couple secs, I literally grabbed him right before a dump truck came barreling passed. I turn around and grabbed my husbands phone and told him if anything had happened to my son I would've killed him. He started paying better attention after that. So I don't trust anyone else with my sons safety as much as I trust myself.

Me too Iam so protective of my son it's not even funny I must know what's his doing at all times and I hate seeing him run fast anything that may hurt him his not allowed to do lol sounds crazy but I love my son n I want him to be safe
