Did anyone work out during their pregnancy? And if so, what type of work out did you do?

My midwife recommended that I continue to run since I was running before pregnancy. Although, I am going to have to invest in a belly band in the next couple of weeks. I read that squats are a great exercise to do to help prepare for child birth, so I do them as much as possible!

I run 5 days a week averaging about 10 to 12 miles a week. I'm 24 weeks pregnant and still running. My husband and I are running a 5K this weekend! I also do a lot of squats and do light weight lifting. I take more breaks while pregnant and listen to my body if I am feeling any cramping. I recommend working out while pregnant. It makes you feel relaxed and helped with my nausea during the first trimester.

Oh you run! for some reason I thought running would be bad. I think I'm being paranoid because I miscarried last month. I'm just walking high include for 30 mins, some squats, some yoga, and arms.

I still see my personal trainer at least 3 times a week and the other 2 days I am using a rowing machine or hiking. With my trainer I do kettlebell work, like swings, squats and deadlifts. I also do get ups, push ups, lunges, single and double arm presses, step ups, etc... Pretty much doing everything I normally do but I listen to my body and take longer breaks if necessary between sets.

I was doing heavy lifting 4x week with hiit the other days. Now since being pregnant still keep to my routine just lighter weights. I've been trying to move daily seems to help with the nausea. So far so good. I will be 12 weeks on Thursday. My goal is to continue till baby comes. But listen to your body. If you feel cramping stop especially if you starting bleeding.

I was super fit running, lifting etc got pregnant and kept working out and lost the baby, a year later got pregnant again I totally stopped working out and ate crap! I was terrified to lose the baby, even though the doc said it was fine. I felt like absolute shit the whole pregnancy!! I was so out of shape by the time I had her I felt disgusted with myself and I was way over weight at that point, I was sore and tired. I got back into shape but not where I was , I was almost there when I found out I was pregnant again when my baby was 10 months. Now I'm 13 weeks pregnant and this time I run 2 to 3 miles a day and do strength training for legs, arms ect, when I can't run I do indoor cardio. I just listen to my body, I'm hoping to stay fit it's much more healthy that way, and I'm not sick or feeling awful this time!! Big difference. Good luck
