So I heard something today that really irked me. I've always heard it growing up when people ask my what I'm mixed with and I say I'm African American, they ask why I'm so light skinned .. That I must be mixed. I actually am with puertorican but as soon as they ask if I speak Spanish and I say no, they have the nerve to say I'm not really puertorican than. It's like I'm too light to just be "black" but because I don't speak fluent Spanish then I'm not "puertorican" enough! Like which one is it, why can't I just be what I am!! Sorry for the rant but today it really got to me. I'm 50/50 so what's the big deal
