Question

One of my friends just found out she's pregnant after 4 previous pregnancies in which she lost every baby including a set of twins All in the last year, her previous pregnancies never made it past 12 weeks and I'm worried she will wind up losing this baby too and cause herself more heartache she has a beautiful healthy 4 year old from her first marriage which didn't work out, am I crazy to think she should've gotten on birth control and let her body heal before getting pregnant with her 6th child?

Update : she went to the doctor to see how her far along she was and how the baby was doing and the ultra sound went well other than they found a bleed in the lining of the gestational sac which could end one of 2 ways... So she has another ultra sound again next week to make sure things are hopefully getting better or to see if she's miscarrying again

She should see a doc immediately. It's highly likely to have another MC. Either antibodys or an hormonal imbalance. She should be medicated with different remedies: cortisol, progesterone, Baby-Aspirin.

I'm no doctor, but with that many miscarriages in ONE year, then personally I think it would be best to give your body a break as opposed to continuously try. Then again, I'm not her and I do hope she ends up having a healthy baby. All you can do is be supportive to her no matter the outcome :)

You're not crazy for thinking that.. I thought that it's pretty crazy but we don't know what she's really going through. She will probably continue to try until she gets her rainbow baby and there's nothing wrong with that ☺️ it's sad though..misscarriage is such a terrible thing.

It's extremely unhealthy for a woman to have so many miscarriages I such a short time as get pregnant again so soon. With any birth it's recommended at least a year to wait for another pregnancy, but they push 18 months. Just because she didn't carry them to term doesn't mean it's any less harsh on her body. And unfortunately, the more consecutive miscarriages you have in a short time frame, the less likely your body is to be able to carry a child full term.

However, I wish the best for her and that little one.

I'd recommend she take things really easy and to actively take prenatals even before she concieves.
