And then my heart exploded

After two miscarriages and more ultrasounds than I care to count, I was kind of dreading going in for the first ultrasound for this third pregnancy. We'd never been able to see a baby or hear a heartbeat, and I was so ready to be crushed again.

But then as soon as the doctor turned to the ultrasound screen, she said "And there's the baby, and they are just beautiful", and I just started sobbing of happiness.

Measuring six weeks and four days, with a heartbeat of 131 bpm, the doctor said they are just "perfect, perfect, perfect".

I know it's still so early and a lot could go wrong, but I am just over the moon in love. You should have seen that little heart go!
