Am i the only one who think maternity photoshoots are cheezy?

I just can't see myself staring at my belly all romantically.... It just seems so forced. I feel like most maternity pics just look kind of ridiculous. Anyone else?

They don't have to be cheesey though. I'm not a fan of some of the maternity photo ideas so I just did mine how I wanted them. To each their own though. Here are just two that I took during my pregnancy. I was in my second trimester in the first and the bottom one is the most recent with me in my third trimester. 😊

Pregnancy is a time in a woman's life that she usually wants to cherish & remember for years to come, & pictures are the best way to do just that. Some are tasteful, some aren't, but each one is special to that person, so I'm all for maternity photos & shoots.

To each their own. They are not for me but I loved my bump so much I wanted to do something so I did a belly cast. I'm sure some people will think those are tacky but it was right for me and I'll do another with this baby.

We have hired a birth photographer and since she knows we are on a strict budget she has offered us a 'package' with maternity and newborn photos. 
At first I opted out of the maternity but am thinking maybe now I might like a close-up of my bump in black and white, maybe with Daddys hands on it. 
I get what you mean though, my first instinct was 'no thank you, not for me' and I still stand by that in the traditional sense. I'm also technically 'plus sized' so at almost 23 weeks my belly is huge and I'm already walkin uncomfortably, and to me that's just not going to be something I want photographed at 32-34 weeks lol. But hey, I am glad the option is there and I don't have to buy the photos so maybe I'll let her try and wow me. 😜

You want to document your body during these changes. Just do it in your own way. I will not be staring at my belly romantically either 😂

We did family pics. Only have a couple back so far. Featured the bump in a few but also just regular pics of us.

I think some can be really elegant & lovely but I wouldn't do one just cause I wouldn't really do a photo shoot of myself period lol
