What to do, first time mom.

Question

I'm in bed all day everyday only get up to go to the bathroom or eat something.
I'm 35 weeks pregnant, and from my toes all the way up to my thighs are swollen(again I'm always in bed) and my hands are too, is it normal? I've had no problems this entire pregnancy. 
Wondering if I should go to Dr?

I would go in. Excessive swelling can be a sign of preeclampsia.

If you haven't been put on bed rest staying immobile is not good especially in pregnancy. Your not allowing proper blood flow and are obtaining water causing some swelling. I would get moving around and see a dr.

Why are you in bed all day? That is more of concern than the swelling which most women experience at some point in pregnancy.

Definitely go to the dr, that sounds a bit excessive for swelling. They may be able to to give you medication to help if it's not pre eclampsia.

Any medicine they give you will not harm the baby. By not taking any, especially prescribed, you can be doing more harm than good. Trust your doctor.

If this is pre eclampsia, it can turn into full blown eclampsia which is not only fatal for the baby, but you. In most cases, the only treatment is giving birth, but at least your baby would be safe. Go get checked out.

I would make sure you are drinking lots of water, and ask about compression stockings, can keep the swelling down
